NORTH CHARLESTON— A juvenile female was caught in the crossfire of an afternoon disagreement between two men at a North Charleston apartment complex.
North Charleston Police responded to reports of gunshots at the Greentree North Apartments on Otranto Road around 4:45 p.m., June 25. They learned two men began to shoot at each other during a verbal altercation, according to a statement from the department.
The victim, whose age and identity will not be released because of her age, was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, police spokesperson Harve Jacobs said.
Authorities do not believe she had any involvement with the shooters.

The men have not been identified. Officers are canvassing the area for witnesses, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
