I have a xkw5 switch and i wanna hack it, but i know it's patched and i can't buy a chip or another chip so i have 2 questions: what happens when you hack a patched switch like if it was unpatched and: Do someone know how to hack this kind of switch without rcm chip , rx chip but just with files in micro sd card, usb c cable, like a file to hack patched switch?

nothing will happen. itll stay a black screen in rcm. to hack a patched unit (thats above firmware 4.1) you need a mod chip, no way around it. you can find the chips on aliexpress.
i bought a unit from my friend who thought it was unpatched, come to find out it wasnt. now i have a backup (when i eventually get a chip for it)

You answered your own question. It's patched. You can't hack it without a chip.

There's another group making chips now calling themselves hwoled. Their regular chips are the same price as hwfly but their oled specific chip is 拢70 as opposed to 拢100+. I'd keep an eye on their regular chips to see if they fall to the same price as the oled ones. Also hwoled don't intentionally prevent you from reflashing the chip firmware so they are a better option for future proofing.

WIth the prices of modchips now you are honestly best off buying a confirmed unpatched (tablet only) unit. You can sell the one you have after doing a system transfer so in the end you don't end up paying that much, or you can keep it for legit use so you don't have to care if the hacked console gets banned. Although with the proper precautions the chance of getting banned is near 0 anyway.
If you are wondering if a patched console could brick if you try to hack it or anything like that, no. A patched console on 4.1 which is hacked using the browser based exploit could be bricked by treating it as an unpatched console, however on any newer firmware you simply have no way to gain any kind of access to the system beyond what Nintendo allows you to, you can't even launch an exploit, the furthest you can get is booting RCM mode and staring at the black screen. From there you would normally use a payload injector to exploit the RCM mode and launch a payload, but on a patched unit that's been disabled so it just doesn't do anything. The browser exploit that worked on 4.1 will in all likelihood also do nothing on a newer version, at most it will crash the browser or system in a recoverable way.

The reason people buy the expensive chips with the complicated installation is because they're the thing that works, and doing stuff with SD card files or USB cables instead doesn't work.

Yep that's why I said "instead". Referring to last sentence of original post.

Who's hwoled? Can't find anything with "hwoled" on google or aliexpress. Can you share a link or something?
I've seen several posts of ripoff chips on this forum, some of them refer to @HWFLY1 on twitter and a dead website on the sd error screen. It also has the same email address ([emailprotected]) as another video posted several months ago by a team xecuter member (what the video claims, at least) showing their "new" chip.
Also according to my seller on taobao, the new v4.1/v5 chips on aliexpress are indeed from another manufacturer but they also call themselves hwfly. Also for some reason the v4.1/v5 chips are only sold on aliexpress, not taobao. The new manufacturer seems to use BGA FPGA chips, and the original hwfly manufacturer uses QFN FPGA chips for their upgradable chips (oled/core v4). Not sure about their compatibility though, don't think I've seen any post of installation of v5 chip.
Btw if you buy the chip directly from taobao, the price is about $65 USD. But you need to pay for the proxy service..

I heard about it from a private group chat with some installers. If you can't find them on AliExpress I guess they either rebranded or stopped selling.

I knew several people in TX and I'm almost certain that whoever that person was they are not a former member of Team-Xecuter. The people who I know who were in Xecuter are salty that they can't track down the hwfly producers to bulk buy the chips at wholesale prices. If someone from TX was producing the clones I'm sure they would have let the others known instead of making them buy the chips at inflated prices from Chinese resellers.
Edit: Oh you already mentioned cheaper chips. I didn't read that far down the post haha.

Me and a couple other friends of mine figured out how to hack an XKW switch without the need for modchip, Although it's very arduous, It still works. The thing is we don't want to share it because they are afraid The Big N will sue us. Could they sue us?

You're telling bs. There is no software-only solution for mariko switches. Patched erista units can be hacked via software. But this requires a relatively low firmware.
